Have you heard about the new and innovative service by an exceptional artist to paint a live watercolour painting of your special event whilst entertaining guests?

A photograph depicts things as they are in real life, but a painting has the opportunity to capture the moment or heightened feelings of your event. Furthermore a live painting by an exceptional artist is a great way to entertain guests and see the memory of the event unfold on your important day. This could be a retirement do, birthday, coporate dinner, awards evening, military mess event or anything with a gathering of people.

Not only do you get a keepsake and visual record that you can hold onto, but it's an experience for you and your guests to enjoy seeing a moment captured in real-time on paper. Prints of the painting can also be provided to guests as a momento of the event.

The actual scene of the painting comes in two sizes:

28.5 x 40.5 cm (A3) - £599 (glass display wooden frame display size is 38.3 x 50.6 cm)

42.0 x 59.4 cm (A2) - £1199 (glass display with wooden frame display size is 59.4 x 84.1 cm)

with an additonal clear white boarder around the edge. There may be a moderate additional charge for travel mileage outside Greater London. The wedding package price includes:

- consultations to ensure your expectations are met;

- high quality professional watercolour painting using the highest quality materials;

- mount & glass display frame in black, white, oak or walnut

- up to 7 hours live painting and guest interaction (excluding set up time);

- additional studio time to perfect the painting; and

- signed and secure delivery to a UK address

Process
The process is very simple – here is how it works:

1. Contact me via "Contacts" below to see if your date is available and we can discuss your plans for your event and vision for your painting. I will also send you a questionnaire with a view to arrange a telephone consultation before you secure your booking. Please book early as I get booked up quickly.

2. If content with the arrangements you can make a purchase or place only a 10% deposit with a 14 day cooling off period to secure the date. Full payment is required 4 weeks before the event.

3. On the day I'll arrive about 1-2 hours before the start of the event to set up and get started on sketching the background and assessing composition. I'll continue to sketch and paint while the event is occurring so your guests can view and interact with me while they enjoy the event.

4. My time is upto 7 hours but I’m flexible in order to capture the right moment.

5. The painting will be displayed throughout the event and some additional studio time may be needed to finish painting depending on the available painting time at the event. The painting and frame will be posted securely to an address of your choice.

6. Any travel expenses will be calculated on a mileage basis and agreed before the booking. This is usually 40p per miles from outside Greater London. These expenses will be moderate and in line with the cost of travel. I can travel thoughout the UK.

7. Please contact me below if you would like any further information.
FAQs
1. How much does it costs to hire a live painter?

The actual scene of the painting comes in two sizes:

28.5 x 40.5 cm (A3) for £599 (glass frame display size is 38.3 x 50.6 cm)
42.0 x 59.4 cm (A2) - £1199 (glass frame display size is 59.4 x 84.1cm)

with an additional clear white boarder around the edge. There may be a moderate additional charge for travel mileage outside Greater London usually 40p per mile. The price includes a full consultation, professional watercolour painting, frame with mount, up to to 7 hours of my time, live painting and interacting with guests and some addtional studio time if necessary. Only a 10% deposit is required to secure the booking.

2. Can I choose my scene?

Yes, you choose a scene of your choice for the day. This could be a dinner sitting or awards presentation.

3. Do you travel?

Yes anywhere in the UK. I'm based in South London and may charge a moderate travel fee based on a fuel mileage rate of 40p per mile. I will always try to keep costs down and avoid an overnight stay if possible.

4. How far ahead can I book?

I would suggest to save your date sooner than later. I can hold your date for a period of time at your enquiry until you decide after our telephone consultations. You only need to provide a 10% deposit to secure your booking

5. What deposit do I need to pay?

You only need to provide a 10% deposit to secure your booking. The balance is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding. Contact me below if you would like to save your date

6. Are you insured?

Yes I have full public liability insurance of upto £5 million pounds.

7. Some live event painters use canvas and acrylic painting, why do you paint in watercolour?

This is basically down to preference, but watercolours is my preferred medium and expertise because it is renowned for its light, bright, and translucent qualities. It is also the most difficult medium to master which takes many years of training to achieve a professional finish. The vibrant but soft nature of watercolours captivates the viewer’s eye in ways that are much different from, let’s say, the thick nature of oil or acrylic paints. In my view it provides a much more natural and warm depiction of the scene with an artistic feel. I also love the blend between colours and texture when used properly on the finished painting. Finally my paintings are all presented in a glass display (not cheap Perspex) and wooden frame with mount which will compliment any home environment.

8. When will I receive my painting?

If the painting is unfinished at the event you will recieve the finished painting within 14 days as additional studio time may be necessary free of charge. I can complete and deliver sooner if necessary. The painting will be delivered to you securely using tracked delivery.

9. Can my guest watch you paint?

Absolutely that's the point. I make an effort to actively engage your guests. On some occasions guest even contribute their artistic touch to your painting. Don't fret, though. If they happen to place a colour in an unintended spot, I can lift off the paint or paint over it.

10. Does my painting come with a frame?

Yes my price includes a black, white, oak or rustic frame with a white mount (or colour of your choice) and glass display (not perspex)

11. Do you have any reviews or testimonals?

Absolutely, however for transparency and authencity these are held on my Hitch account where the client's themselves have written the review or testimonal. These are also supported by my video reels.
